Before you ask

Questions

Are these prints or originals?
Originals, every one. There is a single physical object behind each listing, and when it sells the listing stays up only as a record.
Do wall pieces come framed?
It varies and is stated on each listing. Unframed canvases have finished edges, so they hang as they are if you prefer. Anything that is not a wall piece says so in its dimensions instead.
How accurate are the colours on screen?
Photographs are taken in daylight with no filters or colour correction. Screens still vary, so expect a small shift. If exact colour matters, ask and a photograph can be taken next to a reference you name.
How long does delivery take?
Packing takes 3 to 7 business days from payment. After that it is normally three to eight business days, tracked and insured, anywhere in the US.
Can I return it?
No. All sales are final and there are no refunds for a change of mind, because each piece is one of a kind and comes off the site the moment it sells. Ask anything you need before buying and it will be answered properly.
What if it arrives damaged or is not what was described?
That is different, and it is covered. Send photographs within 14 days of delivery and a refund, partial refund, repair, or replacement is arranged at the artist's discretion.
Will it look machine perfect?
No, and deliberately so. Everything is made by one pair of hands, so seams, edges, glazes, and joins carry small irregularities, and natural materials vary in grain and tone. That is the character of handmade work rather than a fault. If you want a flawless repeatable finish, a mass-produced item is the better choice.
Where do you ship to?
The United States only. Keeping to one country means the postage quoted is the postage charged, with no customs charge landing on you after the fact.
How is shipping worked out?
Per piece, because each one is posted in its own box, and it runs from $10 to $40 within the US. A small pouch and a framed canvas do not cost the same to send, and nor does a short hop across California and a box going to the other coast. Whatever applies to your piece is shown on its listing and again in the cart, and sales tax is added by Stripe from your delivery address, so you see the full total before paying.
Can I have a piece engraved?
On pieces that say so, yes. Tick the engraving box in your cart and type the words you want. Not everything can take an engraving, so the option only appears where it is genuinely possible.
What does engraving cost, and how many characters do I get?
The price is shown on the listing and again in the cart before you pay, and it is charged per piece rather than per order. The character limit is shown next to the box as you type. It is a physical limit rather than a form preference: past a certain length the words stop fitting on the object.
Can an engraving be changed or removed later?
No. It is cut by hand, once, and cannot be undone or altered. It is engraved exactly as you typed it, so please check your spelling before ordering. If the studio engraves something other than what you submitted, that is the studio's mistake and will be put right.
Do I need to be 18 to order?
Yes. Orders are for adults, so you need to be 18 or over to buy. That is set out in the terms of sale, and it matters here because all sales are final.
Do you take commissions?
A few each year, for wall pieces, bags, and outdoor work alike. Start with a message describing the space or the use, the size, and the feeling you are after.
Something I liked has sold. Now what?
That happens quickly with one-of-a-kind work. Get on the mailing list so new pieces reach you first, or ask about a commission in a similar spirit.
Is my payment secure?
Payment runs through Stripe on their own hosted page. No card details are entered on this site or stored in its database.
